Day 01: Amritsar

Arrive Amritsar early morning & you will be transfered to your hotel. Amritsar does not require introduction & is religiously important place for both Hindu's and Sikhs as it possesses the World famous Golden Temple . A fter breakfast proceed for sightseeing trip to G olden Temple and Jalianwala Bagh . Late afternoon return to the hotel for lunch. You have the option to stay in the Temple itself to see the marvelous light decorations in the night. (Smoking, drinking, etc is prohibited inside the temple). Evening we visit the famous W agha - Indo-Pak Border which is 30 kms from Amritsar to enjoy the evening March and Flag Off Ceremony. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at Amritsar .

 

Day 02: Amritsar – Dalhousie (200 kms / 6.5 hrs)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and depart for Dalhousie. This small hill station that still retains its charm is built around five hills & is clothed in stately groves of Deodar and Oak trees. Arrive and check in to your hotel. Evening is at leisure to visit the various market places like Gandhi Chowk, Subhash Chowk etc . Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

 

Day 03: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba – Dalhousie (65 kms / one way)

After breakfast depart for an excursion to Chamba to visit the famous Chamunda Devi Temple . The view from the temple is spectacular as you can see river Chamba flowing deep down in the valley with the background of the snow capped Himalayan mountain ranges. After this we proceed to Khajjiar which is around 1½ hour's drive from Chamba. Khajjiar is surrounded by mountains & dense Deodar forests & is famous for its biggest meadow in Himachal Pradesh which is around 2 kms in length & has a small pond in the middle. You can just walk across the meadow on the green natural carpet or you can enjoy a pony ride (at your own cost) around the meadow. After spending a wonderful evening at Khajjiar we return to our hotel . Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

Day 04: Dalhousie

After breakfast the day is at leisure for local sightseeing on your own. Overnight at Dalhousie.

 

Day 05: Dalhousie – Dharamshala (140 kms / 06 hrs)

After breakfast we depart for Dharamshala, the Kangra valley which is one of the most beautiful valleys of Himachal. It rolls down the southern edge of the magnificent Dauladhar range in the gentle slopes covered with forests of pine, orchards and green terraced fields. Arrive Dharamshala in the evening and check in to your hotel. Evening visit to the famous Dalai Lama palace. Overnight at Dharamshala. 

Day 06: Dharamshala – Manali (260 kms / 09 hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Manali – a prime tourist destination of Himachal. Manali is synonymous with streams and birdsong, forest, orchards and the grandeur of snow capped mountains. Arrive Manali in evening & check in to your hotel. Evening is at leisure. Overnight stay at Manali.

 

Day 07: Manali – Rohtang – Manali (50kms / 02 hrs – one way)

After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Rohtang snow point where you can spend some of the most memorable moments of the life. After a thrilling experience at Rohtang we start our journey back to Manali. Overnight stay at Manali.

 

Day 08: M anali

After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing tour of Manali which includes a visit to Hadimba temple & Vashisth Kund which is perched on the steep hillside across the River Beas. Visit the hot Sulphur Springs, the Monastery and Club House where there are activities like coin operated games, etc. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Manali.

Day 09: Manali

After breakfast day is at leisure for shopping or to stroll along the market area. Overnight at Manali.

 

Day 10: Manali – Shimla (280 kms / 09 hrs)

After breakfast checkout of the hotel and depart for Shimla. Arrive Shimla & check in to your hotel. Take a stroll along the split leveled Mall road of Shimla. Visit one of the major tourist attractions, the Scandal Point. Also enjoy a picturesque view of the sun set from the mall road. Overnight at the hotel in Shimla.

 

Day 11: Shimla

After breakfast proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of the surrounding hills of Shimla including Kufri, Chail, Naldera etc. Kufri is just 16 kms away & is quite famous for its prolonged ski slopes & Indira Holiday Home, the place where Shimla accord between India and Pakistan had taken place. Chail has beautiful scenery, superb climatic conditions & the highest cricket ground in the world. The Chail Palace of the Maharajas of Patiyala is now converted into a hotel by H.P.T.D.C. Shimla also boasts of Naldera, a golf course with nine holes which is also an ideal spot for photography. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Shimla.

 

Day 12: Shimla – Chandigarh (130 kms / 04 hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Chandigarh . Enroute visit the Timber Trail H eights where y ou can enjoy the cable car ride (at your own cost). The cable car takes you to top of the mountain from where you can enjoy the beauty of the valley while having a refreshing cup of tea at the resort restaurant. Chandigarh is a rare epitome of mordenisation co – existing with natures preservation. Here the trees, plants are as much as part of the construction as the building and roads. Evening visit the famous Pinjore Gardens to see the Musical fountains . Return late evening to the hotel. Overnight stay at Chandigarh .

 

Day 13: Chandigarh

After breakfast proceed to Chandigarh railway station / Airport to board return train / flight.
